They originally performed at The Welfare Cinema in Ravenhill, before moving on to the Grand Theatre in 1980. Unfortunately after their final performance of Rose Marie in 1992 they were forced to disband due to the rising costs of putting on their shows

Gendros Catholic Amateur Operatic Society would stage an annual pantomime at the Welfare, which were very popular and well attended

Gendros Catholic Amateur Operatic Society were formed in 1961. The society prided itself on giving opportunities to the youth and was the starting point in the careers of the likes of Catherine Zeta Jones, Julie Paton, Anthony Lyn and Richard Mylan
