Bonnie Tyler was born in Skewen, near Swansea. She has had a hugely successful career
as a singer, since her first hit “Lost In France” in 1976. She is instantly recognisable
on record due to her raspy vocal style. “It’s a Heartache” in 1977 made her an international
star, reaching number 3 in the US single chart. In 1983 she recorded the album “Faster
Than the Speed of Night” which entered the UK album chart at No.1, making her a Guinness
Record holder as the first ever British female solo artist to have an album enter
the UK chart at no. 1. From that album her biggest hit “Total Eclipse Of The Heart”
reached number 1 in the UK, USA, France and Australia. A multi award winner, Bonnie
tours all over the world, and is enormously successful wherever she performs and
has sold millions of albums worldwide. She still lives in Mumbles.
